Sarah Lockyer

Duncan (Old Siward, Lord 1, King)

Sarah is a recently retired Headteacher, having spent over thirty years teaching English and Drama at schools and universities in the US and UK, specialising in Renaissance literature.

They became involved with CSF in 2019 when they played Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor--and got hooked. They acted in the panto Comedy of Errors that year and then in Magna Carta and the online Much Ado, getting somewhat typecast as a cleric! During lockdown, Sarah enjoyed opportunities to join in with all the virtual activities that CSF devised to keep everyone involved.

Sarah will be directing Henry IV Part One for the festival next summer and is really looking forward to working with a fantastic cast to bring the play to life in a contemporary post-Brexit setting.
