The play:

The Merry Wives of Windsor follows jolly Sir John Falstaff, down on his luck and staying in Windsor.

Deciding to restore his fortunes, he plots to seduce the wives of two wealthy citizens. After sending Mistress Page and Mistress Ford identical love letters, the pair discover his double dealing and set about turning the tables, proving once and for all that even big boys who play with fire, get their fingers burned.

The venue:

St Margaret’s Churchyard, St Margaret’s St, Canterbury, CT1 2TG
