Frequently Asked Questions

Will chairs be provided at the show?

Unfortunately, we will NOT be providing chairs for our productions in the 2021 season. If you are attending either of our productions this summer, you will need to bring your own chairs!

What happens when I arrive?

Please arrive in good time before the performance is due to start, so that you have time to set up your chairs and/or rugs. We will have a QR code for you to check-in at the venue using the NHS Test & Trace app - if you don't use the app, then we will require you to fill out a form with your contact details. The data you provide will only be used for NHS Test & Trace and completed forms will be destroyed securely after 21 days.

Are children welcome?

Our shows are always open to children of all ages, however parental discretion is advised for some of Shakespeare’s more violent plays.

Is food and drink allowed?

We encourage people to bring food and drink, unless otherwise stated by the venue.

Is photography allowed?

Yes, and we encourage you to share on social media and tag the festival!

Are dogs allowed?

You are welcome to bring well behaved dogs, unless otherwise stated by the venue.

Will toilets be available?

This is dependent on the venue but we always strive to have accessible bathrooms, of some sort, available at every show.

How long will the show be?

A running time will be provided for each show on their designated event page but a general time we stick by is:

2hrs 30mins (including interval) for a Standard Show
1hrs 30mins (max) for an Experimental Show
